Offshore Wind Sector Growth
At Proeon we are looking ahead to the new financial year, which will be interesting for us to monitor in terms of potential new opportunities with the UK floating offshore wind sector. As an experienced specialist systems integrator f control and safety systems to the global energy sector and beyond. The majority of our projects within the floating and fixed offshore wind arena we deliver are for major clients within Europe.
Therefore with the recent announcement of UK government investment we are keen to monitor developments within the UK's floating offshore-wind sector, to enable us to ensure we can be involved in any future offshore-wind projects within the UK.
The Government announced over £55 million for the expansion of Scotland's Port of Cromarty Firth a major investment in the offshore wind Sector for the UK. This is backed by a grant from the Floating Offshore Wind Manufacturing Investment Scheme (FLOWMIS).
Tis investment in the port will enable it to become a major hub for the UK's floating offshore wind industry. The expansion will make it the first port able to make floating offshore wind turbines at scale and on site in the UK. Assisting in the creation of hundreds of skilled jobs and generating growth within the area which in turn will help boost work within the UK offshore wind sector.

What began as a humble endeavour in a garden shed in 2004 has evolved into a thriving multi-million-pound business having navigated the challenges of a competitive business climate, experiencing highs and lows along the way.

In 2022 Proeon was acquired by RSK Group, joining a family of 200+ environmental, engineering and technical service business, providing sustainable solutions for clients across the globe.
