Our lead fire and gas engineer Randall Williams recently featured on the cover and was published in Hazardex magazine, a publication dedicated to hazard safety and industry information.
Randall has worked in the fire safety industry since 1988 as a fire alarm engineer and fire risk accessor, specialising in industrial fire and gas risk management. He is also a graduate of the Institution of Fire Engineers (GIFireE).
The in-depth article entitled “Does Computational Fluid Dynamics ‘improve safety’ of fixed gas detection systems?”, addresses the concerns over the use of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) when applied to the design of gas detector locations. It also explores the assumptions that come with the use of CFD in greater depth.
The article is on page 26-30 of the April edition of Hazardex.
