Ecowende is an offshore wind farm project that strives to be “the most ecological wind farm yet”. Based 53 kilometres off the Dutch coast, the wind farm will not only will generate sustainable energy, but will also look to make a net positive impact on nature.
For the project, we are responsible for the engineering design, supply, installation and integration of electrical control systems in the offshore high voltage substation for Hollandse Kust West. This substation connects Ecowende’s wind farm to TenneT’s offshore grid. We are delivering engineering design and the manufacture of the wind park operator (WPO) network, utilising the latest in secure digital technology and industrial best practices. Systems will include power distribution and the metering and ecology systems for the WPO room at the offshore high voltage substation.
