We have successfully achieved Granted status with the Nuclear AMRC programme Fit for Hydrogen + Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage (CCUS).

We have had a valuable insight into this emerging sector during the sector-specific modules. We are also fortunate to have team members who have a long track record of working with industrial hydrogen. This, together with our robust integrated management system, our experience of working within explosive atmospheres, our ATEX certification and our highly skilled team, makes us well placed to be ready to undertake projects within this sector.

Our “Fit for” journey

In 2017, we successfully achieved Granted status in the Fit for Nuclear (F4N) programme, followed by our ‘maintain and sustain’ phase, in which we continue to develop and improve our systems. We achieved Re-granted status with this programme in 2023.

We were one of the 15 companies in the East of England to undertake the Fit for Offshore Renewables programme (F4OR), benchmarking our systems and services against the requirements of the offshore renewables sector. We successfully achieved Granted status for this programme in October 2021.

Our experience of working within complex and critical industries, in a variety of hostile environments, has equipped us with highly transferable skills to offer solutions and services within each of the sectors above.

The benchmarking exercise was undertaken on our integrated business management system against the requirements of the nuclear, offshore renewables and hydrogen and CCUS sectors. During each of these programmes, we benefited from sector-specific modules, providing us with a valuable insight into each sector. This enabled us to review and match our experiences and the skills of our team to the requirements of each sector.

Initiating our Continual Improvement Forum has helped us to involve employee representatives from areas of our business to assist with ways we can continually improve our processes and provide new ideas to be considered. The Continual Improvement (CI) Forum assesses each suggestion to the business based on impact, importance and cost-effectiveness, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.

We would like to thank our teams for their continued diligence and hard work and our Nuclear AMRC industrial advisor, who assisted us in navigating through our “Fit for” journey.
