With the cost of living hitting many, youth football can be one of the first things to suffer, with many youth clubs in the UK reliant upon volunteer support from team member parents and dwindling outside support.
Matt Cole, Proeon CAD Engineer, was looking to replace the strip for the children of the North Walsham Town FC U12’s (who will play in the Under 12s Norfolk Combined Youth Football League).
As anyone involved in youth football will know, a football strip takes a huge amount of punishment: rough and tumble on the pitch and multiple machine washings, so the U12s strip was looking tired. That’s where we were proud to step in to support.
We actively engage with the local community, from supporting STEM agenda educational and careers events through to Scout groups and of course, football.
Richard Miller, Managing Director of Proeon Systems, recently went along to North Walsham, where he presented the newly branded football shirts to the U12s team.
We wish the team well and will be keeping an eye on its progress throughout the forthcoming season.
