As part of Proeon’s comprehensive offering of safety systems, we have an agreement with the Det-Tronics, a leading US based manufacturer of flame detectors, toxic and flammable gas detectors and safety controllers. Proeon has seen a growth in sectors where the Det-Tronics product line is ideally suited for ease of use, availability and longevity, and their reputation is recognised. Proeon can offer the range of Det-Tronics hardware, that fits neatly within its broad offering of OEMs in control and automation, communications, SCADA, and safety, alongside those it already has agreements with. This agreement formalises a long-standing supplier vendor relationship and highlights the commitment to product knowledge and training that Proeon has made to support the Det-Tronics line of products.
Proeon’s technical offering is further bolstered with knowledge, expertise and experience across a myriad of OEMs. This includes close relationships with Honeywell and their Sistemi platform a SIL2 capable fire & gas panel, Drager and their comprehensive range of detection systems, Apollo for traditional smoke and heat detection application. For unique requirements such as CAP437 Helideck suppression systems we work with the very latest in video flame detection from Micropack and other OEMs to build robust solutions.
Fire detection and suppression systems
Servicing fire detection and suppression systems provides system integrity and is an obligation when managing the fire safety for any onshore or offshore facility. Our service follows BS 5839-1:2013. Our detailed report lists each device and the relevant knowledge and experience for you to address and resolve recurring faults and false alarms efficiently and cost-effectively.

The Honeywell S81-HS
Within industrial fire and gas protection applications, there are several options offering the level of adaptability and control as the S81-HS provides. However, its features include:
- addressable fire detection with Apollo devices and loop certified SIL2
- addressable fire detection with Hochiki and Notifier devices
- conventional fire detection system SIL2 or SIL3
- explosive and toxic gas detection 4-20mA devices SIL2 or SIL3
- fire extinguishment SIL2 and SIL3.
The S81-HS panel is intended for the safe protection of high value technology, plant and equipment. It is designed to meet the heaviest demands on functionality, reliability and availability. It is ideally suited to companies that operate in energy production and handling, where it shows excellent resistance to electromagnetic disturbances.
The S81-HS panel looks like a safety PLC, but it differs from this as it is certified by European bodies to perform the protection functions in compliance with the applicable regulations.

The panel is composed of specialised cards, installed in 483 mm (19”) racks, whose type and quantity depends on specific applications and customer requirements, i.e., on the plant or equipment to be protected. The cards, which have innate intelligence, are programmed for active and passive fire protection, gas detection, intruder alarm and control management.
