Proeon Systems places significant order with OceanTools

Proeon Systems has recently placed a significant order with specialist supplier OceanTools.  The order relates to design and manufacture of highly specialised deepwater subsea housings.

Ocean Tools will manufacture the housings from super duplex – a type of stainless steel – and this will form part of a package Proeon is delivering to its client, within the oil industry.  As Ocean Tools have a track record of supplying thousands of housings for their own products and to third parties, across the last 20 years,  Proeon felt they were a good fit for this project.

Richard Miller, Managing Director of Proeon commented: “We needed a supplier with the technical capability and specialism to design and manufacture these housings to exacting standards and meet the tight delivery requirements of the project. We entrusted OceanTools with the order as we believe, given their extensive track record, they could be trusted to deliver a quality product on time and to budget.“

Kevin Parker, Managing Director of Ocean Tools said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won this prestigious order”.  “Our team of subsea engineers, led by Stuart Rowley, have many years of experience coming up with innovative solutions to complex subsea problems and this, during the the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, is great testimony to their engineering prowess.”

OceanTools have also recently fulfilled an order for 6000m titanium subsea pressure housings for the National Institute of Ocean Technology in Chennai, India.
