The Proeon team are pleased to have the first subsea units of a multi-system contract ready for Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) to maintain client and end user testing programme. This development is the culmination of 3 months’ intensive work in the system manufacture and rigorous internal testing regime. To maintain our commitments to this project the team undertook a 24-hour shift pattern to meet the required timescales without compromising the quality on which we pride ourselves. A huge thank you to all involved for your hard work, flexibility and diligence during this project to ensure prompt delivery for our client.
The deep water Intervention Workover Control Systems (IWOCS) have been manufactured under Electro Static Discharge (ESD) conditions in our dedicated facility before integrated electrical and system testing at our premises here at the Hethel Engineering Centre in Norwich.
We were contracted for the supply of redundant configured and packaged subsea control systems which utilises a combination of bespoke electronics and Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) hardware with a typical system comprising:
1 off Subsea Power Transformer (SPT) SEM
1 off Subsea Power Distribution Unit (SPDU) SEM
1 off Subsea Service Module (SSM) SEM
1 off Wellhead Control Package (WCP) SEM
1 off Surface Interface Unit.
The system is designed for seamless integration with client topside control systems via the interface unit to reduce overall testing and subsea units load tested at our works to replicate operational environment.
Tested systems are then subjected to vibration, hyperbaric, temperature shock etc in accordance with ISO 13628-6/ API 17F.
