Proeon Systems are pleased to announce they are now able to manufacture panels to UL 508A standards.
If you’re familiar with control panel manufacturing and interested in sending equipment to North America, then you may find this next bit interesting. Around the world there are many standards and classifications that require compliance to allow the product to be sold into a market or country. If you want to sell electrical systems into the North American markets, they need to have gone through the rigors of the UL certification process.
Proeon Systems can design, build and program control panels for virtually any industrial application that have to meet strict UL 508A standards. Our careful design, layouts, attention to detail and pride in workmanship is demonstrated in every project. Equipment is either custom designed or built to specification, is UL 508A labelled, and provided with comprehensive documentation. We can also provide systems integration, installation and field service to support the equipment as necessary.
UL 508A certification provides both the inspection authority and our customer evidence that the equipment complies with recognized standards. These standards ensure public safety, and provide assurances that the electrical control panels are compliant with national and local electrical codes.
Proeon Systems are subject to periodic unannounced inspections of our facilities by UL personnel to ensure that Proeon meets the UL requirements for 508A certification.
For a control panel to carry the UL 508A listing mark, the panel must contain only UL recognized and listed components. The UL mark on a component means that UL has evaluated and tested samples of this component and has concluded that they meet the UL requirements to protect the quality and integrity of the enclosure and provides guarantee of safe performance.
Proeon ensures that all UL manufactured equipment uses components that have carefully selected and used in accordance with the equipment certification and example equipment panels include:
- LV Motor Control Centre (MCC)
- PLC control panels
- Variable Speed Drive (VSD) control panels
- Operator consoles
- Process control panels
